A provisional agreement over pay and working conditions for postal service workers has been reached.
If accepted, the deal could draw a year-long dispute between Royal Mail and the CWU to a closeRoyal Mail and union negotiators have reached an agreement which could signal the end of a long-running pay dispute.
The joint statement said: "After almost a year of talks, Royal Mail and the Communication Workers' Union are pleased to announce they have reached a negotiators' agreement in principle. Earlier this month, talks between the unions and the postal service collapsed and the CWU pulled back from announcing fresh strikes.
