Penrith's win over Gold Coast in the final game of the round lifted them back into first place, a point ahead of Parramatta and Melbourne, and that trio is now four points clear of their nearest rival after Newcastle's upset loss to Canterbury.

The Dally M votes have gone behind closed doors for the rest of the year with Wests Tigers hooker Harry Grant sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard. Melbourne captain Cameron Smith and Eels skipper Clint Gutherson are a point behind Grant with Jason Taumalolo, Nathan Cleary and Shaun Johnson another point adrift.
