Mesut Ozil does not understand the criticism Cristiano Ronaldo has received recently... 'The Media is just trying to get clicks, and pundits who don’t have a career anymore just want to get attention with his big name and try to make him look bad.'
Ronaldo: Ozil slams media, pundits using his ‘big name’ for ‘clicks’ and ‘attention’ in Twitter rantMesut Ozil has jumped to the defence of his former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo by calling out critical pundits “who don’t have a career anymore”.
Ronaldo reportedly said at the time: “The sale of Ozil is very bad news for me. He was the player who best knew my moves in front of goal… I’m angry about Ozil leaving.”He reportedly tried to force a move out of Manchester United in the summer before putting in below-par performances for the Red Devils.
Writing on his Twitter account, Ozil – or someone else on his behalf – blasted the media, who are “just trying to get clicks”, as well as pundits who “just want to get attention” using Ronaldo’s “big name”.
