Joe Biden faces a report his campaign appears to have plagiarized passages of its climate-policy proposal:

Sen. Mitt Romney made his first speech on the Senate floor an indirect rebuke of President Donald Trump, as he offered a defense of alliances abroad and a plea to avoid divisive conspiracy theories, according to a Politico report.

Biden deals with plagiarism complaints again: Following a report that Joe Biden’s presidential campaign appeared to have plagiarized passages in its newly released climate-policy proposal from advocacy groups, the government and a conservation nonprofit, the campaign website has added attribution for several statements, reports USA Today.

— Josh Nelson June 4, 2019 Biden’s campaign said “several citations, some from sources cited in other parts of the plan, were inadvertently left out of the final version of the 22-page document. As soon as we were made aware of it, we updated to include the proper citations.” Biden withdrew from his first campaign for president in 1987 after it was revealed that he had plagiarized lines of a debate speech from U.K. politician Neil Kinnock, notes the USA Today report.

FBI aims at domestic terrorists, but struggles with limits: A debate has emerged about whether federal law enforcement, in particular the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is sufficiently equipped to tackle domestic terrorism using existing laws and resources, says a New York Times article.
