The Air Ambulance was called out
Drivers near Worksop experienced delays on Thursday morning after a pedestrian was hit by a car. Shortly after 8am Welbeck Street and some nearby roads were closed in Whitwell, as a result of the collision.
The pedestrian has been taken to hospital for treatment. Officers at the time advised motorists to avoid the area around Welbeck Street following the incident, but all of routes have since re-opened, reports Derbyshire Live. A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: "As a result of the incident Welbeck Street was closed while emergency services attended the scene, including the Air Ambulance. One person has been taken to hospital.
