A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of 27-year-old Keeyon Capers outside of a Columbus school.
Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information after a 27-year-old man was shot and killed outside a South Linden school.
Columbus police were called around 1:30 p.m. on May 1 to the Hamilton STEM Academy, located at 2047 Hamilton Ave. in South Linden, where they found 27-year-old Keeyon Capers, of the Northeast Side, shot inside a vehicle.An investigation by Columbus police homicide detectives has determined that the shooting actually occurred the day before, around 11 a.m. on April 30.
The male suspect flees north on foot from the area of the shooting, then boards a COTA bus at East Hudson Avenue and McGuffey Road.Anyone with information is asked to call Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS, use the free P3 Tips mobile application or provide information online at www.stopcrime.org. All tips to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and a special coding system is used to provide the reward.
