delivered a stinging statement in the Commons which plunged the Prime Minister’s leadership into further crisis, Councillor Sam Murray, from Suffolk County Council, tweeted: “Resign! Utterly depressing for those of us who actually care about the Country and the Party. Zero integrity.”
“To have been in a position where he was made aware of serial allegations of sexual misconduct to then promote the person and keep them in their position is just unacceptable,” he toldCllr Charles McGrath, leader of the Salisbury Conservative group, voiced “grave doubts about the Prime Minister’s capacity for leadership”.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday night following the resignations of Health Secretary Sajid Javid and Chancellor Rishi Sunak, Cllr Connor Payne for Chard South in Somerset, accused Mr Johnson of leaving the Conservative Party “in complete disarray”.
