So many memories
Readers have taken to Facebook to share their views after improvements were announced for a popular Nottingham site. Improvements will be taking place at Nottingham's Victoria Embankment paddling pool in The Meadows after Nottingham City Council was awarded £200,000 for the project from the National Lottery.
Taking to social media to share their views, Nottinghamshire Live readers said they were pleased changes are being made. One comment stated: "We used to call it the frog pool, fantastic news brilliant."A second typed: "I am now 64 years of age. If this is the same paddling pool by the Trent we used to go to as kids, then you need to get it sorted as soon as possible so that the kids of today can enjoy the same free good fun that we did back then.
Another user wrote: "Lived in the meadows for about 36 years and our children would be at the paddling pool all summer with us, great place."
