With a population as prosperous, educated, and diverse as that of the United States, one has to look at theFollowing the national trauma that was the, Democrats took control with the barest of majorities. Elected as an acceptable alternative to the status quo, President Joe Biden had a clear mandate. He was to steer the country through the coronavirus pandemic without tanking the economy in the process.
If there is any question about whether these policies work, I can answer that for you: They do not. We know this because they have been tried before and failed. You need only look back a few decades to an overtaxed, over-regulated economy with over 50% tax brackets and double-digit inflation and interest rates to know that you cannot tax and spend your way to prosperity. If you inject massive amounts of spending into an already overheating economy, the result is inflation and economic misery.
This leads us to our other great political party, the Republicans. The party of Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, and Ronald Reagan is now that of Donald Trump, Matt Gaetz, and Marjorie Taylor Greene. Our country desperately needs smart, principled leaders to advocate capitalism, free speech, and limited government.
