Phyllis Coates, the first actress to play Lois Lane on television, has died at 96, reports say.
Video above: Remembering those we lost in 2023Coates's daughter, Laura Press, confirmed with multiple news outlets that her mom had died on Wednesday from natural causes, adding that her death was peaceful.
Coates was the first actress to play Lois Lane in 'Adventures with Superman' for one season and she also played Lois Lane in 'Superman and the Mole-Men.'Coates was in 26 episodes of the first season and earned $350 per episode. After the first season, Coates declined to return to play Lois Lane in the second season.She also was in 'I Was a Teenage Frankenstein,' 'The Incredible Petrified World' and 'Blood Arrow.
