Former SDLP leader Mark Durkan has said there is a need to "renew" some of the pledges made in the Good Friday Agreement.
Mr Durkan, who was part of the SDLP's negotiating team for the 1998 peace deal, said parties should "fix" the "bad practices" that have developed in Stormont's power-sharing structures. The former Foyle representative shared his memories of the talks process and reflected on the legacy on the Good Friday Agreement as a series of events are held to mark its 25th anniversary.Mr Durkan told Belfast Live: "I think we need to relook at the language of the Good Friday Agreement, renew some of those pledges, some of those senses of commitments, and we need to fix some of the unnecessary problems, and the bad practices that have crept in.
