Update: At least three homes were burned in a fire in Rendon Tuesday night. Authorities say wind, low humidity, and dry ground contributed to the spread of the fire.
Firefighters responded to a home on the 5500 block of Jessica Lane. Tarrant County Fire Marshal Randy Renois says 'some people' were cooking when the fire started.
"The [fire] spread before the fire department could get there to two more structures and some grass," he said.Homeowner Elizabeth Taylor told CBS DFW she lost everything in the fire. "That's all my everything I mean - I'm at loss for words - I don't know what to say," Taylor said."I guess I can look at the positive side and get rid of a lot of stuff I didn't want to mess with."
