A relic of a revered Catholic saint has left Italy for the very first time will be leaving Italy for the first time and heading for Harrisburg.
On Monday, Nov. 6, a relic of the Arm of Saint Jude the Apostle was publicly displayed at Holy Name of Jesus Church on Allentown Blvd. as a part of a national tour.
According to the church, veneration of the relic was available from 1 PM to 10 PM, with a special Mass in honor of Saint Jude at 7 PM from Bishop Timothy Senior. Hundreds of onlookers stopped by the church to say a prayer and catch a glimpse at this piece of catholic history.
