With the Nou Camp set to undergo major changes, one of them has included building space for a huge memorial to season ticket holders who have lost their lives.
An area of 180 square metres will be made available for the creation of a cinerary memorial consisting of 26,600 columbariums with commemorative plaques.
The funeral urns will be hidden behind huge murals, illustrating iconic moments throughout the club's history. Financial constraints saw a new stadium scrapped with the Barca board opting to remodel the Nou Camp instead. The Nou Camp currently already holds just over 99,000 but the expansion plans will see it grow to over 100,000.
