Elly De La Cruz, Matt McLain and Joey Votto all hit home runs in the first three innings and the visiting Cincinnati Reds finished off a convincing 9-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday.

De La Cruz finished with four hits, the third time in 46 games since his June 6 debut he has delivered at least four hits in a contest.

Freddie Freeman had two hits for the Dodgers, who lost a pair of All-Stars in the first four innings as both designated hitter J.D. Martinez and catcher Will Smith departed. Each of the first four Reds batters in the game reached base against Grove, with TJ Friedl collecting an RBI double two batters into the game and cleanup hitter Jake Fraley adding an RBI single. Spencer Steer followed with an RBI groundout for a 3-0 advantage.

McLain's 11th home run of the season came in the third inning, and two batters after a Fraley single, Votto crushed Grove's cutter deep into the Cincinnati bullpen in right for his ninth of the season.
