Rebekah Vardy has trademarked the phrase 'Wagatha Christie', following her court battle with Coleen Rooney, according to reports.
The trademark covers everything from clothing to cosmetics and anyone wanting to use the phrase commercially will have to seek permission from Rebekah, and pay her a fee if she allows them to use it. “She now owns the UK trademark and would consider expanding it to other territories if she thought it was needed," an insider told The Sun.The source went on to reveal what this means for those wanting to use the phrase commercially, adding: “If someone wants to print the logo on a mug, for example, they would be infringing the trademark if they didn’t ask permission."
The saga took social media by storm, and was even turned into a West End production as well as a television drama, the latter starring Michael Sheen as the barrister in the case, David Sherborne.
