Wagner helped turnaround Reagan’s program when she entered as a freshman. Wagner averaged a double-double as the Rattlers captured a district title by going 29-8 overall. Reagan was 32-59 in three seasons prior to her arrival.
The Rattlers also won the district title last season and finished second to Clark, a state semifinalist, in 28-6A this season. Wagner’s versatility is an asset. In high school, she can play any five of the positions. Wagner is set to join a program that appears to be on the rise. The Longhorns face Ohio State in the Sweet 16 on Friday in Spokane, Wash.
