One of the interesting positional battles in this contest will be Baltimore tight end Isaiah Likely versus the Saints secondary.
Mark Andrews is technically a tight end, but the Ravens utilize him as a slot receiver. Per TruMedia, Andrews leads Baltimore slot receivers in routes , targets , receptions , receiving yards and receiving touchdowns . The good news for the Ravens is that Isaiah Likely ranks second on the club in each of those aforementioned categories. His 13 catches on 18 slot targets equate to a higher catch rate than Andrews, and Likely’s 11.9 yards per reception on those plays is nearly equal to Andrews’ slot YPR pace .
Add it up and Likely is likely to be able to replicate Andrews’ production in a similar manner to what he did in the Week 8 Thursday night game against Tampa Bay when he posted six catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. The potential impediment is a Saints secondary that allowed only 7.6 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends in Weeks 5-8 . That pace ranked fourth best in the league and indicates Likely could be more challenged here than he was against the Buccaneers.
