Over his first two years in the NFL, Bateman still hasn’t been able to show off the kind of player he is over the course of a full season. Two years in a row, the Minnesota product and former first-round pick has had his season cut short thanks to injuries.
Going into the 2023 season, Bateman is once again in line to take on a starting role for the Ravens. The team also brought in receivers Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency andin the draft. Still, Bateman is currently the only projected starting receiver who has experience working with quarterback Lamar Jackson. On top of the chemistry he’s already built, Bateman likely will benefit from the offense that new offensive coordinator Todd Monken is implementing in Baltimore.
