Dexter Morrison, 23, attacked Kielan Boyce at Hampden Park before last season’s Scottish Cup semi-final on April 17, 2022.Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that Mr Boyce approached and shouted at Rangers fans.Mr Boyce also gestured his fist looking for a fight to start.Prosecutor John Bedford said: “Mr Boyce began to back off from the other Rangers fans.“This punch rendered Mr Boyce unconscious causing him to immediately fall to the ground.
He also had a wound above his right eyebrow and left ear which was bleeding as well as a cut to his eyelid.This included wounds to his head and eyes.Morrison, of Sandyhills, went to a police station on April 29 where he was noted to have a wound to his hand.Sheriff Tom Hughes ordered Morrison to do 185 hours of unpaid work.
