Fantastic work from pnecommunity to support those in need throughout Ramadan: pnefc pnefc
Ramadan is the ninth, holy month of the Islamic calendar, which is regarded as a time of reflection and gratitude for Muslims, who fast from sunrise to sunset every day throughout the festival.
Throughout March and April, PNECET will have a stall staged at a different location on alternative evenings each week, handing out traditional goods to those who are fasting during Ramadan.The charity is partnering with The Catering Co Group for the provision of biryani meals Pic: Preston North End Community and Education Trust
Rebecca Robertson, Head of Community Engagement at PNECET, said: “Our Ramadan initiative last year was an incredibly rewarding one and we’re looking forward again to engaging with our local Muslim community, including refugees and asylum seekers, during the holy month by providing free, traditional goods.
PNECET staff and volunteers are set to distribute the packs on all of the listed evenings above throughout Ramadan and further celebrations will follow at the end of the month to mark Eid-al-Fitr.
