In Dairsie in Fife, the River Eden burst its banks, leaving a neighbouring house flooded. Pictures from a bridge crossing the water show the river has spread into the fields and garden surrounding the property. One Peugeot vehicle was seen abandoned in a huge swell of water as vehicles struggled through the A92 this morning.
Edinburgh Travel News tweeted: "Ferry Road is CLOSED at the red bridge between West Granton Access and Crewe Toll due to flooding. West Granton Access is open but there's a lot of flooding so take extreme care." Passengers should check their service before they go to travel, as delays, cancellations and speed restrictions are in place across the rail network.
