Rackspace promotes finance chief to CEO
SAN ANTONIO — Rackspace Technology Inc. has named Amar Maletira, the cloud-computing company’s president and chief financial officer, as its next CEO, effective immediately, the company announced Monday.
Maletira succeeds Kevin Jones, who had been CEO at San Antonio’s largest technology company since April 2019. Maletira will conntinue to serve as CFO until a replacement is named. David Sambur, chair of Rackspace’s board of directors and co-head of private equity company Apollo Global Management, said Maletira “brings broad management and leadership experience, and over the course of his career, he has helped transform several multibillion-dollar technology businesses.
