Pubs to stay open later over Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday
PUBS will stay open for an extra two hours over the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday so Brits can raise a glass to the Queen.
Licencing hours will be extended from 11pm to 1am from Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 June in England and Wales and will also cover nightclubs.Workers will enjoy a mega four-day weekend to celebrate Her Majesty surpassing 70 years on the throne.will take place across the country as Brits salute the longest reigning monarch for a lifetime of service.
And now patriotic patrons will be able to toast the achievement into the small hours as MPs today approve boozers staying open later. Home Secretary Priti Patel is using a special law to extend drinking hours in an event of "exceptional national significance".
