The fully cooked, ready-to-eat salads were made March 4 and come in 12-ounce clear plastic containers with a label reading “TRADER JOE’S Wine Country WHITE CHICKEN SALAD WITH Cranberries & Pecans.”
The salads that are under the public health alert have the establishment number P-34834 inside their USDA mark of inspection and were sold at Trader Joe’s stores in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
USDA said it discovered the problem when its Food Safety and Inspection Service received a consumer complaint that cashews were found in the salad. There have not been any confirmed reports of adverse reactions after consuming the salads.Customers who have purchased the salads are urged to throw them away or return them.
