Ms Gallardo was one of 15 Spanish players who boycotted the World Cup in protest over team coach Jorge Vilda’s strict regime, which was supported by Mr Rubiales. She said she had been vindicated. “Thanks to all the people who have supported us and it is good that justice is done. It will be the best that could happen for the future of Spanish football,” she told IB3 television in Mallorca at a reception on Sunday.
