The Henderson Group is proposing to build a new EUROPSAR in Downpatrick, creating 50 jobs in the process.The group said a similar number of jobs would be created in the construction industry while the proposed store was being built.It also said the new store would feature a modern forecourt with charging points for electric vehicles and would replace a smaller existing SPAR on the nearby Edward Street.
Martin Connolly, the existing retailer at Edward Street says: “I have worked with the Henderson Group for many years, and I think the new development will be great for the area.
