PRITI PATEL is expected to greenlight a scheme which would allow RNLI lifeboat volunteers to rescue asylum seekers in the Channel if their lives are in danger, a minister has said.
Mr Pursglove said he feels a “huge weight of responsibility” after the deaths in the Channel, which ministers and officials say happened in French waters.
