However, one dad from Bishopbriggs, who asked to remain anonymous, says his nine-year-old daughter has been left disappointed at the news that her Christmas carol singing opportunity in Bishopbriggs town centre, which was due to take place on Thursday, will also not go ahead.confirmed that extra-curricular activities on Thursday have also been cancelled.He said:"She is absolutely distraught at the news.
"Along with her classmates, they have been practising their songs for weeks for their big day in Bishopbriggs town centre. "She was so chuffed at being picked to sing, and now has been left deflated that it has been cancelled."I’m sad that the teachers who were going to assist in this memorable event are unable to go along now due to the strike action.
"All East Dunbartonshire early years centres will remain open as these are not affected by the mandate for strike action."
