The registered charity’s work has begun immediately to create carnival costumes and pieces for all participants, anticipated to be in the region of 400 performers this year.
A spokesperson for Preston Carnival said: “Celebrating the flamboyant, creative Caribbean culture within our city, it is a great day out for all the family. On carnival day, organisers ask that the public make a donation of £2 to help cover health and safety costs.
