AUSTIN, Texas — Austin-Bergstrom International Airport just before 8 a.m. Wednesday reported power has been restored to the airport following an outage that lasted for roughly three hours. However, delays are still in effect.
Passengers after 8 a.m. were beginning to be moved through security again but airport roadways were not immediately reopened. The outage was quite an ordeal. Departing flights were halted and when the airport roadways were closed to traffic, significant backups occurred. If you are traveling out of the Austin airport Wednesday, you are still urged to check your flight status well ahead of time as significant delays are anticipated for several hours. has restored power to the terminal. TSA has begun screening passengers and we are working with APD to reopen airport roadways.
