“It’s a critical need right now for county constituents to have another judge on the bench that does family law,” she told PennLive forPowell, a graduate of Penn State and the Widener University School of Law, began her legal career with the Dauphin County Public Defender’s Office, where she worked for six years.“I can recall times early in my career when I did not feel like my clients received a fair shake in the courtroom, which did not resonate well with me,” she said.
