UPDATE - Clearfield police suspect a double homicide took place leaving two people dead, and one person in custody at a Clearfield home Wednesday afternoon. FOX 13 News has a news crew on the scene, stay tuned for further updates.
CLEARFIELD, Utah — A large police presence is responding to an incident in a neighborhood in Clearfield near the Steed Pond by the corner of 750 north and 1050 west Wednesday afternoon.
According to Clearfield Police Chief Kelly Bennett, police responded to a call made at 3:10 p.m. after family members walked into the home and discovered two deceased individuals. The family members left the home and called the police. When police arrived, a perimeter was made around the home. The suspect was eventually taken into custody without incident. The only people in the home were the suspect and the two deceased individuals.
Preliminary investigations lead officials to believe the cause of the death of the two deceased individuals was not due to natural causes and suspect a double homicide at this time. FOX 13 News has a crew on the scene for any new information to arise, stay tuned for further updates.
