The Roughriders have cancelled Tuesday\u0027s practice after several members of the team, including support staff, tested positive for COVID\u002D19.
“Several members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and their support staff have recently tested positive for COVID-19,” a media release began. “As the team travelled together across the country, all players, coaches and staff will undergo mandatory testing for the next several days. The Club is working with the CFL Medical Committee and following all COVID-19 policies and procedures set by the CFL.”
The Roughriders returned Saturday from Nova Scotia after losing 30-24 to the Toronto Argonauts in Touchdown Atlantic. The teams are to meet again this coming Saturday at Mosaic Stadium. The team added that Tuesday’s practice has been cancelled “out of an abundance of caution” and that all on-field activities are expected to resume Wednesday.The news seems to be flying at us faster all the time.
