POPULAR Scots musicians are set to perform at a concert for carers this weekend in Glasgow.

The ‘Concert for Caring’ will take place at the city’s Royal Concert Hall on Sunday, September 10.This year's performances will include the legendary Glasgow band – Altered Images, along with album-chart topper – Callum Beattie.host Des Clarke and include speakers Jenny Minto MSP and Jason Leitch, National Clinical Director at the Scottish Government.

Sara Redmond, Chief Officer at Alliance said: “In these challenging times, it’s essential to acknowledge the remarkable dedication of Scotland’s carers, healthcare professionals, and the organisations that stand alongside them. “The Concert for Caring is not only a celebration of caring and carers, but also a reminder of the resilience and strength of our communities.”

Irene Oldfather, Director at the ALLIANCE said: “This, the ALLIANCE’s third Concert for Caring, celebrates the commitment and loyalty of those who across all care settings who dedicate to looking after others. "This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ for all the days you worked longer than you should, for all holidays you didn’t take, for the hands that you held when our loved ones needed you most, and for the love, care, kindness and compassion that you showed while looking after us all throughout the pandemic and beyond. This is our thanks to you and this is your night to be celebrated.”
