The popular 1051 GWR on Great Western Road closed this week but will reopen on August 1 for drinks and food on August 2 after taking the tough decision to close short term.
A hugely popular Glasgow bar and restaurant took the tough decision to close this week until the start of next month.
They revealed they will be closed from the start of this week and will be reopening for drinks only on August 1 and food on August 2. "However, we decided to bring our dates forward due to a few reasons but largely due to a senior member of our kitchen staff dislocating her hip this past week and needs recovery time this has a huge impact to Steven and the rest of his kitchen team and the kitchen would need to close."The 1051 GWR added that with the World Cycling Championships taking place next month, it impacted their decision so they could be open for the first race, which takes place nearby.
They added: "We will still be picking up emails during this period and of course accepting bookings from 2nd August onwards. We’ll be opening with new menus and offers. So keep an eye out!"
