Members of Westmorland and Furness Council’s licensing sub-committee will decide if Arnside chippy can sell alcohol during a meeting in Kendal on August 22
. The licence application was submitted to the council on June 28 – and it has received a number of objections from neighbours.
In the application the Millers said: “We are a busy fish and chip shop takeaway and café that has not reopened since being closed during Covid. During the consultation period Robert Alfred Matthews submitted an objection to the proposal and raised concerns over public nuisance, crime and disorder and public safety.
