PoppyPlaytimeChapter2 finally has an official release date, with the highly-anticipated horror game launching later this week.
MOB Games has finally announced the release date of Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, the highly-anticipated continuation of one of the most popular indie horror games of the last few years. The Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 release date was leaked in early April, thanks to a SteamDB listing, but it seems the initial leak was a few days wrong.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 will continue directly from the story of the first game, with the player still trapped in the mysterious Playtime Co. factory. Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 ends with the player escaping from the murderous grasp of Huggy Wuggy, who is crushed by a crate and dropped from a gangway. It has been revealed that Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 will be a lot longer than the original game, and should take over an hour to finish, but there are new threats for the player to face.
The Poppy Playtime franchise has gained a lot of attention online, thanks to videos of the game being viewed by children in part due to the title's colorful aesthetic. Poppy Playtime has led to police warnings, as the game might seem kid-friendly on the outside, but is actually a disturbing horror game beneath the surface.
