The standard of military homes has come under increased scrutiny following recent reports of damp and disrepair.reported that 8,000 military homes had damp issues, and more than 500 homes were deemed to not meet Government standards. was listed as having caused 421 delays over two days over the same period, of which 86 took more than five days to repair.
She said: “I was approached by Cynon Valley residents concerned about the number of serving armed forces personnel being left without heating and hot water during winter in service accommodation. The answers from Government show that hundreds have been left without heating for days at a time. “With our rectification plans we have enhanced our capabilities and improved standards to ensure any loss of heating or other major house maintenance issues are dealt with swiftly,” they added.
