The dog, believed to be a XL Bully, bit the woman in Coronation Field, Lancaster
Lancashire police have issued a warning to residents to 'stay extra vigilant' after a woman was bitten by a suspected XL Bully. She's been left with serious injuries.
The incident happened at around 7.20pm on Monday . The woman, a dog walker, was bit by the canine on Coronation Field in Lancaster, just off of Willow Lane. The dog is believed to a XL Bully / Pitbull looking type dog, according to police. Officers are now warning people to be 'extra vigilant' and 'contact them immediately if you encounter any dangerous or aggressive dogs'.
"If anyone saw or heard anything or has any CCTV / Ring doorbell footage that might be able to help us with our investigation, please contact us on 101 and reference log LC-20231017-0696. "Also, If you take your dog for a walk in this area, please be extra vigilant and contact us immediately if you encounter any dangerous or aggressive dogs."
