A police officer in Maryland has been arrested for his actions during the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, according to federal officials.

Court records note Lee faces seven counts, including entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and act of physical violence in the capitol grounds or buildings.
In July, Lee shot and killed 19-year-old Franklin Castro Ordonez of Gaithersburg after the suspect allegedly stabbing several people in the Aspen Hill. The Montgomery County Police Department said they learned he was being investigated by the FBI while he was placed on administrative leave for the shooting.
