Margarito Martinez, 43, is charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon with a felony conviction, unlawful restraint with risk of serious bodily injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a controlled substance of less than 1 gram. The woman’s mother told deputies her daughter had been “dumped” in her front yard at 1 a.m. on Monday. Afterward, she was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. Martinez had reportedly threatened the woman with a firearm and beat her on multiple occasions, investigators said. The woman had been restrained with zip ties and given drugs.
