King Street is to be reborn under plans which will also see much of Stretford Mall demolished
Plans to revive Stretford's historic high street have been given the green light. King Street - once Stretford's main shopping centre before the mall was built - is set to be transformed with a new market hall, bars, shops and outdoor seating areas in a new pedestrianised square.

Much of Stretford Mall will also be demolished and new bars and restaurants opened along the Bridgewater Canal.Trafford council leader Andrew Western said: "This first phase of development is another milestone in the redevelopment of Stretford for the local community.
