The Detroit Pistons are preparing an offer to hire Monty Williams as head coach that would pay him approximately $10 million per season, sources tell The Athletic.
Detroit has been hopeful over the past several weeks that Williams would consider accepting the job, sources added. The Pistons have also been connected with Kevin Ollie, Charles Lee and Jarron Collins as the leading candidates.Williams is owed approximately $21 million over the next three seasons by the Phoenix Suns.
