Pilots of Boeing 737 Max ‘did everything they could’ to avoid crash that killed 157
The doomed Ethiopian Airlines plane nosedived several times before it crashed, killing all 157 people on board.
It experienced steep climbs and descents as it left Bole airport and ditched in a field six minutes after take-off. In that case, MCAS will automatically lower the aircraft’s nose if it detects a stall or loss of airspeed. Ethiopian Airlines said they were ‘very proud’ of the pilots and their actions during the disaster on March 10.
