Liverpool were in talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie this summer, the player's agent has confirmed.
Another name that was mentioned as a possible target was Hincapie of Leverkusen, though the Reds opted against making changes to the team in this part of the pitch.
