Chris Paul will miss his 13th consecutive game Sunday at San Antonio with what the Phoenix Suns are calling a sore right heel.
The Suns have been thinking long term with Paul, but even Suns coach Monty Williams watched his floor general during that work out and could see a more intense approach.
“It’s hard,” Paul said. “That’s my happy place is hooping, but I’ve sort of learned over the years that it’s a long game. Luckily we have enough depth on our team to where I shouldn’t be forced to come back until I’m ready.” “That had nothing to do with Chris’ recovery, Cam playing” Williams said after Friday’s loss to Houston as Payne posted a double-double of 20 points and 12 assists to four turnovers. “Chris’ deal is based on his health. That’s it.”
