Philadelphia police took to the air to help officers on the ground disperse large crowds of mostly teenagers as the holiday weekend wrapped up.
They were, by and large, peaceful. But there were scattered reports of rowdiness and violence.There was a report about shots fired near the Market Street Bridge.Roughly 500 dirt bikes, ATVs, motorcycles flood streets of Philly, drive into Montgomery CountyAnother person was seen being taken to an ambulance but police haven't released information on any injuries.The police helicopter was up, pointing the spotlight at the teens in the Penn's Landing parking lot.
There's no obvious damage but police were called multiple times; they arrived and were able to disperse the crowds in Penn's Landing. The teens then moved to the area of Front Street between Walnut and Chestnut where police monitored and dispersed them.The crowd seemed to break up just before 9:30 p.m. as police remained on scene, and cleared the area of teens.at 9:30 p.m. for 13 and unders; and 10 p.m. for 14 to 17 year olds.
