“Religion often is very embarrassing, and I totally get it,” says the comedian Pete Holmes. “So I am sort of sometimes burdened with the fact that I love talking about it with anybody. Not just religious people. I love talking to anybody—Uber drivers, waiters, anybody—just, like, what’s going on here?”
