Excitable Tartan Army supporters from Perthshire have already been mapping out plans for a Scots invasion of Germany next year.
“We booked flights to Berlin with Ryanair at the end of June,” explained trip organiser Craig Mailer of St Madoes. “There are 50 of our group booked up. “After securing maximum points after the first five games we were very confident that even Scotland couldn’t mess this up,” Craig laughed. He said: “We’ve had very good players like McFadden, Ferguson and Fletcher but lacked quality throughout the squad.
Some standout memories from through the years include voyages to the likes of Moldova - overnight train from Bucharest included - as well as adventures to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Albania, Serbia and Georgia.
